The 3D selection takes wood veneer to the next level by adding depth, texture and character to each panel, with tactile textures making them stand out in any interior. Whether you choose the dramatic, charred look of 3D Carbon, inspired by the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, or the robust, lived-in look of Hewn Oak with its raw texture, this selection offers both aesthetics and functionality. The 3D selection is ideal for designers and architects looking to create spaces with a natural, tactile quality.
Both Hewn Oak and 3D Carbon, offer the authentic look of weathered or charred wood without the drawbacks of burnt or scratched material. Whereas aged or charred wood can be brittle and fragile, give off odours or be difficult to work with, 3D selection retains the same unique texture and depth, but with greater stability, durability and simplicity of use.

3D Carbon
Centuries ago, the Japanese used the Shou Sugi Ban technique, burning wood to make their homes more durable and fire-resistant. Today, the aesthetics of charred wood are especially popular with shop designers and interior designers. However, charred wood is difficult to work with, crumbles quickly, is often warped, spreads odour and takes a long time to process.
Our 3D Carbon veneer panels offer a solution that captures this look, without the drawbacks. These panels have the same structure and depth, without the drawbacks of odour or brittleness. Moreover, they can be produced in large volumes. The large size of 3040 x 1210 mm makes them ideal for quick finishing of walls, counters and even kitchens or cabinets, as easy to process as normal wood veneer.
3D Hewn
An old barn in the countryside, where the wooden beams show signs of use over the years, scratches, wear and tear. These imperfections tell the story of life around the wood and are the very features that give a room character. Hewn Oak responds to this need for authenticity. Made from rustic beams, this veneer is deliberately given subtle scratches and imperfections that mimic the marks of time and use. It offers the charm and story of seasoned wood in interiors, without the drawbacks of raw wood.

Whereas charred wood quickly becomes brittle and can crumble during processing, the 3D selection offers a sturdy and stable option that is easy to handle, without damaging the wood.

Unlike burnt wood, which can give off a strong odour, Leeuwenburgh’s 3D Carbon panels have no odour.

The 3D Selection is supplied unpainted, but can simply be repainted, for example if a different gloss level is desired.
